Located on the main street leading towards the old town centre, the Restaurant PRI MARI has welcomed its guests with its pleasant and attractive appearance for over 15 years. Owing to its beautiful decor it has become a popular destination for guests coming from Europe and the rest of the world. In addition to its original interior design in the Arte Povera style of the previous century, the restaurant Osteria Pri Mari has earned its reputation through its distinct family hospitality created by Mara "with her plates" through her constant presence around the guests, Tomaž behind the bar "with his glasses" and son Marco in the kitchen "with his pans". For the majority of guests who have already visited Piran - the "pearl" of Slovenian coastline - the Restaurant PRI MARI has become their "place of pilgrimage" they like to revisit again and again, year after year.

Dishes, which no doubt enrich the experience of Piran, are prepared in Restaurant PRI MARI according to well-established recipes that have been carefully collected over the years from various sources of traditional Slovene Littoral and Istrian cuisine; yet part of the creativity comes from the young son Marco who learned the art of cooking in the neighbouring Trieste. We are aware that quality food comes from quality ingredients, which is why we choose among the best suppliers and cooperate with the local fishermen and shellfish farmers who make sure that our kitchen is constantly supplied with fresh seasonal seafood. In addition to delicious seafood dishes, we also like to serve our guests delicacies of the Istrian and Venetian cuisine, prepared according to recipes of our grandmothers.

In addition to quality food, our more discerning guests will certainly appreciate our wide selection of wines, which includes - in addition to our local winemaker's wines - over 40 bottled wines of renowned wineries from the Slovene Littoral, Karst, Vipava and Gorizia regions.
